Enchanter Vol
What They Say
The adventures of Haruhiko, Yuka and Eukanaria continue in this next
installment. Will the truth behind Yuka and Fulcanelli's relationship
finally be revealed? Will Haruhiko finally give up the fight and give
his body over to Fulcanelli's soul?
The Review
All is fair in love and war, right? Things were not looking good for Haruhiko and Eukanaria at the end of the last volume.
However, Haruhiko just seems to be good with people, so things worked
out all right. It seems like now would be a good time for the guy to
get some rest, but Eukanaria's presence is a constant reminder of
Haruhiko's situation. He still needs to figure out how to communicate
with Fulcanelli. If Haruhiko can pull that off, then maybe Fulcanelli
has an idea of how he can get his body back and Formal Party Dresses reunite with Eukanaria.
This volume seems to be a transition volume. Some loose ends are wrapped
up, while Haruhiko continues to struggle with his unrequited love for
Yuka and Eukanaria's constant badgering. So much of this volume is just
more of what we have seen before. However, with that complaint, the end
of this volume sets up the next story (and volume). Mercurio is the
?Enchanter/Demon? met in an earlier volume. She is a big klutz and works
in the shop owned by the skeleton guy and Haruhiko's trainer, Yamato.
The reason I put question marks around enchanter and demon is that her
identity remains unclear. Mercurio dresses like a Demon (skimpy) but she
has Junior Bridesmaid Dresses Australia two different colored eyes like Enchanters. Regardless of what kind of
being she is, she definitely appears to have a crush on Haruhiko. It is a
complete role reversal to be on the receiving end of someone's
affection, so will Haruhiko even realize Mercurio likes him? What's
more, why does she tell Haruhiko she hopes he can 'repair' her just as
if he fixes machines?
This proved to be a slower paced volume, but the mystery behind Mercurio
has me excited to see the next volume. Unfortunately, this volume
received one of the lowest Packaging grades I have ever assigned. There
are a few pages with wrinkled paper and what is worse is the problem
with the printing. Around a half dozen pages in my copy have portions of
the page that are drastically faded. I am sure it is a one-time
incident for DMP, but a bummer nonetheless.
